But when the man woke up, he was deeply grateful to Gou.
Goh decided to keep the man in his home until his wounds healed.
A few months later, Goh began to love the man.
It was the first feeling her had ever known.
Some time later, after the man’s body had recovered, he said he was going to leave the mountain.
He said he would pay his debt to the people who had taken care of him and that he would come back.
Goh believed the man and sent him off.
But the man did not come back.
Instead, what came was a large group of people who wanted to kill him.
In front of the crowd of people who were trying to kill him, Gou knew that he had been deceived.
In his disappointment, Gou turned his uncontrollable feelings into hatred for humans.

男の体が回復してからしばらくたった後、男は山を降りると言った。
世話になった人々に借りを返して、必ず戻ってくると言った。
ゴウは男を信じて、送り出した。
だが男は戻って来なかった。
代わりに来たのは、大勢の討伐隊だった。
自分を討伐しようとする人間の群れを前にして、ゴウは男に騙されたのだと知った。
ゴウは失意の中、やり場のない想いを人間に対する憎しみへと変えていった。
